Mary Jo Kilroy Wins Ohio’s 15th District

Democratic candidate Mary Jo Kilroy won Ohio’s 15th district House seat tonight, after provisional ballots were counted and gave Kilroy a 2,311 vote win. Kilroy’s win is the 21st net Democratic pickup of the cycle, including Joseph Cao’s upset win over Democratic Party blight William Jefferson last night. Her margin is now wide enough to avoid a recount.

Paul Carmouche has not conceded what appeared to be a loss to John Fleming in LA-04, pending the counting of provisional and absentee ballots. Fleming leads by 356 votes, and the votes will be counted Tuesday. In any event, he plans to ask for a recount.
