FiveThirtyEight Has A Fall Internship Position To Fill

It’s a bit late in the fall internship season, but FiveThirtyEight has an opening for a data reporting intern. We’re looking for someone with an interest in politics, polling and the 2016 elections. There will also be opportunities to pitch stories and work on our sports, science, economics and life sections. We want candidates with strong research skills who pay attention to detail. We prefer candidates who have experience in college newsrooms and/or professional news organizations. Knowledge of programming languages such as Python and Ruby and experience with database systems are a plus.

This paid internship is based in New York and runs from late September through early December. Interns may work up to 40 hours per week (with some flexibility in schedule to accommodate classes as needed). Recent graduates are also eligible, but you must have been enrolled in a college or university and taking at least one class in the semester prior to participation in the internship program.

If you’re interested, please apply at the link above.
