Cruz seems to be doing pretty well tonight, and is winning across a lot of demographics — for instance, he is winning both white college graduates as well as whites with no high school degree, a group that often supports Trump. But exit polls are showing that Trump is winning among those voters who make less than $50,000, those who identify as independent, and those who define their ideology as “moderate” as opposed to “somewhat” or “very” conservative.

The exit polls suggest that Sanders has not fixed his problem with black voters. He is losing them by a margin of 74 percent to 26 percent in Wisconsin. Luckily for him, they made up just 9 percent of voters. Unfortunately for Sanders, they’ll likely make up more than 15 percent of voters in the biggest delegate prizes this month: Maryland, New York and Pennsylvania.

The same pre-election poll / exit poll blend would have Sanders beating Clinton by 9 percentage points in Wisconsin. Note, however, that the Decision Desk HQ Democratic exit poll is more favorable to Sanders than the one put together by the networks, and suggests he could beat Clinton by double digits.
