As Geoffrey just mentioned, in Vermont’s Democratic primary for its at-large district, state Senate Pro Tempore Becca Balint is the projected winner. As we discussed earlier tonight, Vermont has never elected a woman to Congress. Given the state’s politics, Balint is poised to become the first woman from Vermont to serve in Congress.
