What Went Down In Elections In Minnesota, Wisconsin, Vermont And Connecticut

Maybe this is a little obvious to bring up, but this conversation about the direction of the GOP feels like a good time remind folks how small the primary electorate is — aka, the number of people deciding the direction of the major parties in the U.S. There are about 4.5 million eligible voters in Wisconsin, and the Democratic and Republican primaries can expect about half a million votes each. Most people are not engaged in this kind of hyper-partisan, emotional battle over election legitimacy, abortion and everything else. However, those 1 million primary voters will choose the options for the greater 4.5 million. So if the craziness of primaries stresses you out, dear reader, just remember that the vast majority of Americans aren’t the type of people engaged in these fights. Love thy neighbor LOL.
