Polls have closed in Connecticut, where there aren’t many races up in the air, but which could be an interesting battleground in the fall. Just today there was a story about how Republicans are hopeful for a resurgence in New England, and particularly think former state Sen. George Logan has a decent shot at unseating Rep. Jahana Hayes in the 5th District. But, as a friend of mine from Connecticut (and former Logan constituent) likes to point out, Logan doesn’t really have any ties to the district, which sits in the northwest corner of the state, and none of the area he represented in the state legislature overlaps with the 5th — already a major point of contention in the race.
