It’s worth remembering that for the past few months, Republicans and Democrats have essentially been living in different economic realities — at least, in terms of how they think the economy is doing. A Civiqs poll conducted at the end of September found that 80 percent of Republicans thought the economy was in at least fairly good shape, compared to only 8 percent of Democrats.

I do think repealing the Trump tax cuts is among the most likely policy changes in a Biden administration, even if Democrats wind up with only 50 or 51 senators. Presidents have a pretty solid record of getting some type of tax changes passed when they have a trifecta.
