I don’t know, I’d say Pence’s strategy might just be trying to gaslight people into projecting some sense of normalcy, which might work for 90 minutes but won’t work when Trump goes on some 47-tweet tangent 2 minutes after the debate ends.

So there’s not as much interrupting tonight, but there is A LOT of not answering the question. I’m curious if people think it’s Page’s job to try to refocus the conversation on the questions she asks. Because as is, the candidates can really just talk about whatever they want, whether or not it’s been asked.

I think I know Pence’s debate strategy. He’s spending a lot of time stalling with platitudes and maybe hoping that Page and Harris forget the question that was asked? IE, Page just asked if the American public is entitled to know about the President’s health and he has spent the past minute stalling and then Page just…moved on.
