Terrorism Is Rising In The West
The candidates were asked if the world is a safer or more dangerous place than it was eight years ago. Finding comparable data that far back is difficult, but terrorism declined globally last year from a year earlier. In the West -- including the U.S. -- terrorism rose, but deaths from terrorism remained a minuscule fraction of all violent deaths.
