What Went Down On Day 3 Of The Trump Impeachment Hearings
Nunes referencing the Fifth Amendment was dramatic — was he implying Vindman did something wrong? Vindman testified he told two high-ranking government officials about the call, both of whom had need-to-know clearance as they worked on Ukraine policy.
Vindman, his lawyer and Schiff combine to basically shut down Nunes’s questions that are designed to out the whistleblower.
For what it’s worth, Nathaniel, you’d plead the Fifth Amendment to avoid incriminating yourself. So it’s very unclear how that would apply here, since Vindman’s conduct is not at issue.
