Vindman explains his decision to report his concerns about the July 25th call to NSC counsel. There’s a bit of office politics here: Vindman’s boss, Timothy Morrison, testified behind closed doors that Vindman did not inform him that he took this step, and Morrison was disappointed.

Vindman is discussing the decision to put the July 25 call summary in a special classified system. However, he said, “I don’t think there was anything nefarious.”

“I speak Russian and Ukrainian. And a little bit of English.” Vindman cracks a joke, in answer to a question about what languages he speaks.
