One way to read the two sets of testimony, based on what we have seen so far, is that Wednesday’s statements were very much about the specific timeline of the Ukraine situation – evidence of Trump’s involvement remains the key takeaway from Wednesday for me. This is much more, as Perry and others have pointed out, about the big picture of the administration’s approach and priorities. When it comes to public spin, these two elements could be complementary, or it could feed into a narrative that this process is simply about Democrats not liking how Trump does things.
