What Went Down On Day 1 Of The Impeachment Hearings

Yeah, the answers to Castor’s questions right now are kind of irrelevant. He’s just asking a bunch of questions about whether Hunter Biden had any qualifications to serve on Burisma’s board — and, of course, putting those questions in the public eye is the point.

Kent said in his closed-door testimony that he tried to raise the alarm about Hunter Biden’s appointment to Burisma’s board back in 2015, because it could create the impression of a conflict of interest. This was an obvious breadcrumb for Republicans, so it’s not surprising to see Castor starting to seize on it.

Aha, now we are getting Castor saying “Hunter Biden” and “Burisma” a lot. That’s the ticket! (For Castor.)
