What Went Down On Day 1 Of The Impeachment Hearings

It is still amazing that Trump actually released that call with the Ukrainian president. I would love to read a tick-tock story about that — surely some staffers thought this was a bad decision and tried to explain that to the president. I don’t think we would be here today if Trump had not released such clear evidence of the basic allegations here.

Every time I read the original White House call summary again, or see snippets of it, I’m always somehow continuously amazed at how damning that first piece of evidence was.
