Yeah, Perry, I was thinking about that too — it’s understandable why the staffer wouldn’t want to testify, but it also adds to the secondhand/thirdhand nature of the testimony, which Trump and Republicans have already latched onto.
I think that’s fair, Perry, that this is being presented as pretty damning second or thirdhand knowledge and that won’t fly. I assume that’s something Republicans will jump on in their line of questioning.
