According to preliminary exit polls, Biden’s win in North Carolina was fueled by black voters and college-educated whites. Biden won 63 percent of black voters, a similar proportion as in South Carolina. He also beat Sanders among college-educated whites 38 percent to 19 percent; however, they roughly tied among non-college-educated whites. Interestingly, Warren got 20 percent of the vote among college-educated whites, more than she got among any other racial or educational bracket. This was Buttigieg’s and Klobuchar’s lane previously, and it could be key to Warren staying viable in the race.
