What Went Down On Super Tuesday
The Associated Press has called Oklahoma for Biden. Currently, with 8 percent of precincts reporting, Biden has 30 percent, Sanders has 21 percent, Bloomberg has 18 percent and Warren has 13 percent.
Virginia’s turnout increase probably also has a fair bit to do with it being an open primary, meaning some traditionally Republican-leaning voters (who may identify as independent) showed up to vote. Virginia has no party registration, and with only one party holding a contest, if you wanted to vote this was your only option.
Those turnout numbers might also throw some water on concerns that coronavirus would keep people away from the polls, Nate.
