Galen, who’s sitting next to me in our cluster around the TVs, just asked me if it’s possible that Biden could win Virginia by a larger margin than Hillary Clinton did in 2016 vs. Sanders. She won by 29 points; right now, Biden leads by about 33 points, so it’s definitely possible. Even if he falls short of Clinton’s margin, remember that Biden is doing this in a four-way race rather than the head-to-head matchup between Clinton and Sanders.

One more W in Biden’s column this evening. Polls have closed in Alabama, and ABC News projects that Biden will win the Alabama primary. Again, this isn’t a surprise. We gave him a 92 percent chance of wining the most votes there.

Yeah, the Upshot Needle now has Biden’s projected margin in Virginia up to 29 points, which would beat even his already-good preelection polls there.
