I would say age and ideology — young voters remain firmly in Sanders’s camp whereas older voters are all about other options. It’s almost like the 30-44 age group is a swing vote on that question, at least in some states. And very liberal voters are far more likely to prefer Sanders or Warren, but the problem for those candidates is that very liberal voters aren’t that much of the Democratic electorate.

As we start to get a lot more exit poll data, do people have thoughts on what the biggest fault line(s) in this race is or are? Age? Race? Ideology? Perry wrote about age the other day, and I was pretty convinced — is age the most important divide in the Democratic Party right now?

We have full results from American Samoa, the only territory and only caucus of Super Tuesday! Bloomberg has won his first contest of the primary season. This is perhaps unsurprising, given that he had seven paid staffers in the territory and spent a lot of money on TV, digital and print ads there.
