Rams quarterback Jared Goff enjoyed a Pro Bowl season in 2018, finishing fourth in passing yards, sixth in touchdowns and eighth in passer rating. And yet, as Michael Salfino wrote, Goff’s play is also an area of concern as the Rams attempt to knock off the Patriots. The issue is that Goff’s numbers were heavily front-loaded: He played like an MVP candidate early in the season but has fallen off badly in the second half of the schedule — including the playoffs.
