A quarterback who threw 601 times for 4,886 yards and 41 touchdowns in the regular season co-leading the league with 17 picks says a lot about the way the league has changed. In 2011, Ryan Fitzpatrick led the league with 23 interceptions on 569 attempts — but just 3,832 yards and 24 TDs. In 2001, Trent Green threw 24 picks in 523 attempts, for only 3,783 yards and 17 TDs. Stafford’s not having a bad season. He’s throwback risk/reward guy who — clearly — has been worth the risk for L.A.
