What Went Down In Super Bowl LVI
One of the great prop bets, a real one (not one of my lame jokes), is under 2.5 people to throw a pass, minus-170. The Bengals have run only one of these gadget plays all year. The Rams could be tricky but have done it in only three games. You have to worry about Rams punter Johnny Hekker on top of everything else. It’s going to be an uncomfortable bet all game. I think it wins. But if someone else throws a pass, you may hear an audible groan from a lot of sharps.
That was an underwhelming first series for L.A.; let’s see what the Bengals do. As they take the field for their opening set of plays, the right side of the Rams’ defense seems open for Burrow. These heat maps show where Burrow completes more passes than league average and where the Bengals gave up more completions than league average. Note that that only plays with a precise pass direction were included.
Here’s the Aaron Donald vs. Cincy interior offensive line matchup I’ve been waiting all week to see.
