What Went Down At The South Carolina Primary
For all the talk about how primaries are crazy and unpredictable, are we gonna end up with some version of a Bernie vs. Biden battle — the two candidates who were ahead in national polls for most of the race — after all?
We’re keeping an eye on Steyer’s chances and I’m low-key wondering … could he finish ahead of Sanders? Here he is in our forecast for vote share in South Carolina.
OK, I have a question as we wait for more results to come in. If Biden’s lead is as sizable as we think it is — say, in the double digits — where do you think this leaves the other candidates? Will many candidates not crack double digits at all? I’m thinking Warren, Buttigieg and Klobuchar here. Surprisingly it seems as if Steyer might do OK (we have very few results at this point, though).
