What Went Down On Health Care This Week

Semi-regular reminder that when Republicans talk about “Obamacare collapsing,” they are referring to the private insurance markets, just one piece of the ACA.

Some of this rhetoric from Graham et al. could be damaging to the “skinny bill” if it ever did manage to pass the House, as the conservative base could echo his argument that it wasn’t an actual repeal of Obamacare.

Perry said this already, but going to say this again: These four senators are saying that “skinny repeal” is terrible and works for no one. They are very clear that this is just a way to get to conference to buy more time, partly because they don’t even have scores from the CBO yet. Just a reminder that they didn’t have to hold the vote this week.
