What Went Down On Health Care This Week
It strikes me as more than a little odd that in a system with so many formal rules and checks, veteran senators would need to resort to an assurance from the House speaker that is nowhere in the Constitution or the written rules by which the House or Senate operates.
As Perry said, bipartisanship seems unlikely. Notable that Majority Leader McConnell chose a process that wouldn’t require any bipartisanship.
