What Went Down On Health Care This Week

I’m not sure what this 5:15 p.m. press conference is about, but if Republicans are growing nervous about the strategy to pass a “skinny repeal” bill in the hopes that problems with the bill can be fixed in conference, they may finally be wising up. It was only a couple of months ago that the House passed AHCA, with Republican leaders telling moderates to vote yes on the bill partly on the premise that the problems with AHCA would be fixed by the Senate. Instead, the Senate’s version of the bill, BCRA, was extremely similar to the House’s, including in its major rollback of Medicaid.

I think this news conference might be interesting — these people have been trashing “skinny repeal” all day.
