What Went Down On Night Two Of The Second Democratic Debate
I feel like a better response for candidates like Harris and Biden when their track record in an executive role is being attacked is to say they have to make tough decisions, and they don’t always get every one right, but they’ve walked the walk, etc. — as opposed to pretending that they never did anything wrong.
I think what’s interesting about this debate is that Harris is much more the focus of attacks from others. It’s because she’s a real top-tier candidate now. But I think her tone is quite different from the first debate. She’s lobbing sharper attacks, sharper parries. She had a lot more “let me tell you about this regular person I met” last time around.
Good for Bennet to focus on the deep school segregation we have now. I will be curious if he, unlike Biden and Harris, actually has a school integration plan.
