What Went Down On Night Two Of The Second Democratic Debate
Medicare for All can mean different things — and they poll very differently. Part of what we’re seeing debated is health policy, and part of what we’re seeing is a debate about the meaning of Medicare for All.
The framing of “getting rid of 150 million people’s health care” is not ideal. Medicare-for-all, as proposed by Sanders and Warren, will cover dental and a ton of expenses and get of rid of a lot of co-pays. The people who lose their health insurance from their employer might like the Medicare plan better, if it was described in full.
He’s playing the happy warrior, but it also helps Booker that Harris hasn’t quite seemed like herself so far.
