What Went Down On Night One Of The Second Democratic Debate
Warren with a really sharp, memorable answer there. Who runs for president to say they can’t do things, she asks Delaney.
O’Rourke makes an argument that Texas is a swing state he can win by saying, in part, “no matter how red or rural, we didn’t write you off.” The interesting thing about that statement is that, while he did indeed campaign in every county in Texas, he did worse than Clinton in the rural parts of the state. He still improved on Clinton’s score in texas by 6 or 7 points. If Texas is a swing state, it’s because it’s an urban state.
In the last debate, Warren used a lot of pugilistic language, and she’s dropped some variant of “fight” a bunch tonight, too.
