I get that Democrats care a lot about beating Trump and so electability is a fair segment … at the same time, politicians make AWFUL pundits.

Beto makes the argument that he can win Texas for Democrats. That would be a big deal, but I’m not convinced yet. I think it’s still about 10 points more Republican leaning than the nation as a whole.

O’Rourke talks in a very soothing, lilting way. It seems like it would make for a good speech — but doesn’t work quite as well on a debate stage.
