“The question is, why do we have to be so extreme,” Delaney says. Wow. Joe Biden must want to send him a thank-you card. Delaney, in my view, really dominated Sanders and Warren in the last 20 minutes on health care. He attacked Medicare for All in a way that I don’t think Biden could have done on stage.
Delaney is hammering an argument he also made in the last debate — that hospitals will be forced to close if they’re paid at the Medicare rate. Experts say it’s much more complicated than that, and he’s probably overstating the impact quite a bit.
