What Went Down During President Trump’s Closing Speech At The RNC

Trump asks, “How can the Democrat party lead our country when it spends so much time tearing down our country?” This is a contrast with Trump’s 2016 acceptance speech when he detailed everything he saw wrong with the country and claimed, “I alone can fix it.” Essentially, when you are the out party, you gotta criticize. Otherwise, why are you running?

Voters seem to agree about the importance of this election, Nathaniel! A recent Pew poll found that 83 percent of registered voters say that it “really matters who wins” the presidential election. That’s higher than the share who said this at a similar point in any prior presidential election year since 2000.
