What Went Down During President Trump’s Closing Speech At The RNC

A promise to quickly return to full employment is optimistic, to say the least. The unemployment rate is above 10 percent right now, which is historically high. And economists say that as the recession drags on and more businesses go under, it’s probably going to be increasingly hard for people who are out of a job to find work.

Trump just mentioned that he would accept his party’s nomination “with profound optimism.” … well, we’ll see. As I wrote earlier in the night, Trump’s 2016 acceptance speech was the most negative acceptance speech for any party’s nominee in the past 40 years!
