What Went Down During President Trump’s Closing Speech At The RNC

Trump just mentioned that he would accept his party’s nomination “with profound optimism.” … well, we’ll see. As I wrote earlier in the night, Trump’s 2016 acceptance speech was the most negative acceptance speech for any party’s nominee in the past 40 years!

Looking back over the evening, we’ve seen brief moments of activity on Twitter around Giuliani and Ivanka Trump, but the president continues to dominate the discussion.

Amazingly, Trump is the first major-party presidential nominee from Florida in American history. (He switched his residency from New York to Florida last year.)
