Nate, I know you’re trolling me, but the North Country of New York does have a lot in common with Vermont across the lake. But no, New England is a purely political region; the fact that the Red Sox have fans outside it is just gravy.

Until Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Elise Stefanik was the youngest woman ever elected to Congress. This cycle, she’s made a concerted effort to elect more Republican women to the House through her leadership PAC. Next week, Meredith and I will have an article up on the site about how successful she’s been!

We’re hearing from another person also described as a rising GOP star, Elise Stefanik. Her district along the “North Way” in upstate New York is large — and only slightly GOP-leaning. It’ll be interesting to see what happens to that district after redistricting.
