What Went Down On Night 3 Of The RNC
The speech from second lady Pence seemed less an endorsement of Trump than a positive reflection of Pence herself and the country’s armed forces.
In her remarks, Karen Pence celebrates the 19th Amendment in as paving the way for women to serve in governmental roles. But Republican women hold just a small percent of U.S. congressional seats. One contributing factor is that their party is less invested in recruiting and supporting female candidates than the Democratic party. That said, the outlook for 2020 is looking better for Republican women than in previous election years.
As Karen Pence speaks, it strikes me that Doug Emhoff, Kamala Harris’s husband, didn’t speak at the DNC.
