What Went Down On Night 3 Of The RNC
Honestly, so much of the traditional Republican rhetoric will end up feeling tone deaf tonight given the shootings in Kenosha and resulting protests. If they also don’t address the situation, it’s going to be a deafening silence.
South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem is on now, continuing the heavy focus on prominent women in the Republican Party that we saw in the first two nights.
Actually, there’s one thing I would add, Sarah: The Trump campaign (and this convention) has clearly signaled that the 2020 race will be fought in part on issues of culture. There’s a version of that “culture war” that focuses on “cancel culture” and stuff like that, and my bet would be that that’s more electorally promising than a culture war revolving around systemic racism and police brutality. But … IDK, maybe that’s wrong?
