What Went Down On Night 3 Of The RNC
What To Watch For On Night 3
Will speakers at the Republican National Convention address the protests in Kenosha, Wisconsin? How will they talk about Hurricane Laura as it threatens the Gulf Coast? Galen Druke spoke with Sarah Frostenson and Nathaniel Rakich about those questions and what else to watch for tonight.
That’s such a good point, Nate. And the GOP has to address the situation in Kenosha, in particular, tonight, right? It’s just that the message of the last two days has centered so much on how the Republican Party is the party of diversity, and now there is reporting from Buzzfeed that the alleged shooter was at a Trump rally earlier this year. I just don’t see how they don’t address it head-on and early, especially as it’s part of their pivot. What do others think?
A personal update: I’m live-blogging tonight from my parents’ house in suburban Philadelphia — Bucks County, in fact, a crucial swing region in a crucial swing state. That’s important not because I’ll be relaying any important intel on the mood in this political battleground, but because my dad is hitting me with rapid-fire questions about everything that comes across the TV — the news, commercials … everything.
So if I seem a little distracted, please have patience. I’m trying to.
