What Went Down On Night 2 Of The RNC

Eric Trump generates some volume on social media, but sentiment around him takes a dip at the same time:

Trump’s brother, Robert, passed away recently, and Eric invoked him at the end of the speech. I guess that’s probably as close as we’ll get to image softening from the kids tonight. I think perhaps Ivanka will be a bit different?

While many of this convention’s speakers seem to be direct responses to criticisms levied at the president, Eric Trump’s speech emphasizes Trump’s personal character as a fighter. My sense is that the party’s offense is about Trump’s character and their defense is about how the party is not racist.
