What Went Down On Night 2 Of The RNC

A big bet Republicans are making here is that viewers at home won’t recognize the cognitive dissonance of a lot of what’s happening tonight … Trump conducting a naturalization ceremony … Kudlow taking about the pandemic in the past tense. I have no idea how it plays out, but it’s pretty cynical.

Sentiment toward Trump has been more favorable on Twitter in the last few minutes, with the naturalization segment, than it has been all night:

It seems clear that the RNC interviewed these (note: extremely accomplished, impressive) individuals. Why not record and play those interviews instead of having Trump quote them?
