What Went Down On Night 2 Of The RNC

Galen, I’ve noticed in some of the right-wing and QAnon groups on social media, there’s been a lot of chatter about prescription prices lately, and attributing affordable meds to Trump.

Pence once said, “I’m a conservative but I’m not mad about it.” He’s playing the (slightly corny?) politician in this video — he literally scruffs a kid’s head. For a bit more about him, here’s my 2017 piece that imagines what a President Pence would look like.

The background music in Pence’s video is soft and strikes a positive chord 🥁. He says “In American you can do anything, and you can be anything.” I realize that other speakers have talked about the American Dream, but the music adds quite a bit! There is some interesting political science research about music; music evokes emotions, and those emotions influence political behaviors.
