Tiffany Trump was a big opportunity to tout Trump’s character as a father. Her speech is being entirely spent on cancel culture. Seems like a somewhat wasted opportunity, given how many other speakers have been doing that. I hereby declare this the “Cancel Culture Convention.”

You’re right, Nate. I couldn’t place what was off about Tiffany’s speech, but it’s very generic. Are there no sweet childhood memories she could pull out to show the softer side of POTUS?

Nate Silver

Family members are usually used to soften the nominee’s image. But in this case, they’ve just been giving fairly generic political speeches. A bit of a missed opportunity, given that Trump’s image could use a lot of softening.
