What Went Down On Night 2 Of The RNC

So, lots of talk about regulation removal and school choice as far as policy goes so far tonight and tomorrow … anything else specific people have noticed?

I think it would be great for Trump if Mitt Romney, Condi Rice, Cindy McCain, Colin Powell, George W. Bush or a Ronald Reagan relative wanted to speak. A famous athlete like LeBron James (to rival Steph Curry from last week.) I don’t think it matters too much that Liz Cheney or Will Hurd don’t want to be here.

Kudlow has been talking about a “v-shaped” recovery since the pandemic began. Pretty much no economist — including the 30-odd leading economists we survey every other week — thinks this is plausible. In the most recent edition of the survey, the economists told us that even if 75 percent of Americans became immune to COVID-19 tomorrow, which is obviously a wildly unrealistic scenario, we’re unlikely to return to pre-pandemic GDP until sometime next year.
