And I guess it also, to an extent, adds to his “anti-establishment” cred. But I think it’s part of the reason ratings have been so low.

I think it hurts him. Some of this content is well-produced, but a lot of the rest of it is filler.

Big name speakers helps draw attention, but having regular people that voters can identify with helps messages break through with a skeptical audience. I don’t know if the RNC has much of a skeptical audience.
