I think if they had taken the DNC approach with producing segments with everyday people instead of placing them in front of stuffy podiums, then it would be better, Sarah. And I guess it also, to an extent, adds to his “anti-establishment” cred. But I think it’s part of the reason ratings have been so low.

Big name speakers helps draw attention, but having regular people that voters can identify with helps messages break through with a skeptical audience. I don’t know if the RNC has much of a skeptical audience.
