I don’t think we should overthink it, Sarah. Fewer high-profile speakers is worse for Trump. It means fewer people will watch, and this positive messaging about him won’t reach as many ears.

After seeing a lobsterman on stage, it’s worth noting that Maine was actually in the news today. A court ordered that a referendum to repeal the use of ranked-choice voting in presidential elections must go on the ballot. As a result, RCV will not be used to decide the presidential vote in the state, with its future use for that office pending the result of that referendum. This does not affect the use of RCV in other offices, however.
