What Went Down In Michigan, Washington And Other Democratic Primaries
I think that the sentiment that the process was rigged ran deep in 2016. I think if this turns out to be a more decisive victory for Biden, it is going to be easier for Sanders supporters to move on. There will be less of a sense that they were wronged, even if they are frustrated by folks coalescing around Biden.
But seriously: I do think the Yang endorsement of Biden is interesting insofar as he is the type of candidate (outsider, young, economic, single-issue) who appealed to some Sanders types. I wonder how/if he’ll be used as a surrogate by the Biden team.
I guess Washington probably does matter for whether Sanders’s supporters keep their heads up. To be honest, I’ve been surprised at the sense of resignation I’ve seen from Sanders supporters on Twitter.
