What Went Down In Michigan, Washington And Other Democratic Primaries

Still no results from the North Dakota primary, where there are apparently still people waiting in line to vote. A party spokesman told me yesterday not to expect any results there until around 10 p.m. Eastern.

It’s very striking how quickly things are starting to wrap up. I think a lot of voters have just been exhausted by this process, and they don’t see the primary as the battle they want to be waging — the real fight for them is against Trump.

This tweet from Guy Cecil, chair of Priorities USA (one of the biggest Democratic super PACs and a longtime party strategist) is pretty telling. The party establishment is anti-Sanders, wants to focus on Trump and this will be a problem for the Vermont senator in the weeks ahead. Sanders needs to win at least one state tonight and probably two to avoid a chorus of people urging him to quit.
