Biden also won big among white college-educated women in Missouri, according to the preliminary exit polls: he got 58 percent of that group, while Sanders only got 35 percent. If that pattern persists, it’s not a great sign for Sanders, since white college-educated women were a big part of Warren’s base on Super Tuesday. Despite Sanders’s ideological similarities with Warren, it wasn’t clear that her supporters would fall in line behind him.
The other wild card in Michigan is Detroit’s Wayne County. Decision Desk HQ has Biden up only 8 points there, which is less than Clinton’s 22-point win. But the Detroit parts of Wayne County are vastly different from the non-Detroit parts, and we don’t know where that vote is from.
