As Sarah just mentioned, the Republican primary for Ohio governor has been called for incumbent Mike DeWine. In the end, it really wasn’t close; DeWine currently has 57 percent of the vote, more than 30 points ahead of his closest competitor. While many conservatives were upset with DeWine for some of his more pragmatic governing decisions — especially his tough coronavirus restrictions — opposition failed to coalesce around a single alternative. Most notably, Trump — who is no DeWine fan — declined to endorse either Renacci or Blystone.
