Yeah, Amelia, I agree. The party brands are very strong and very recognizable. You have to be an awfully well-known politician with a well-known distinct brand (like, say, Manchin) to shake it. It’s hard to see Ryan succeeding at that in this environment. At the same time, parties always want to have good candidates running in case crazy things happen. And with some of the Republicans running in the primary, it’s fair to say there’s some potential baggage.
